It’s been a busy month at Tr3Dent HQ to say the least. New projects, new customers, some fancy awards and a lot of positive news that puts Tr3Dent in great shape going forward for the year ahead.
The month started off on a positive note when Kevin, the founder and CEO headed to TM Forum live in Nice, where he was presented with an Outstanding Contributor award from the Forum. To put it into context, the Outstanding Contributor award is given to a selected number of members who have contributed significantly to TM Forum collaboration work to driving the industry forward. This is the second year in a row that Kevin has been presented with this award.
Kevin and Jean-Luc Tymen from Orange have been the drivers, evangelists, designers, and implementers of the Business Scenario and Partnership work that has created a standard way to express the business, technology, and market challenges that the TM Forum projects are addressing. These scenarios will become the basis for the road map of challenges library that will be used to enable the members of the Forum to be more effectively addressing the Internet of Things market and beyond. Thumbs up Kevin, well done.
To add to what was already a pretty successful week, Tr3Dent was lucky enough to have been part of the project team that won Most Innovative Catalyst at the conference that attracted over 2000 delegates from around the Globe. Tr3Dent worked with AT&T, China Mobile, Orange, Cloudsoft, Huawei and IBM on a project that provides a framework for network providers to adopt virtualization within the telecommunications environment.
More than 90 member companies and 300 individuals participated in the 2016 Catalyst projects which spanned Open APIs, NFV/SDN, digital health, smart climate, data monetization, customer experience management, smart cities, the Internet of Things and more. Keeping all of this is mind, it made being part of the winning team that bit greater.
To round off the month, Tr3Dent was Dublin bound to pitch in the final of the Bank of Ireland Startup Awards. At this point I must say that’s it’s only when you attend events like this you realize the caliber of Startup companies that exist in Ireland today. After competing in the “Technology Startup” category, five days later we hit the road again to attend the awards ceremony where we eventually came second, (Well done again Tempbuddy, great work). Disappointed not to go one step further but honored to feature that high up the list when you consider the quantity of innovative tech startups that reside in this country.
To round off the month of May we added another member to Team Tr3Dent. Ross, a Student in GMIT who has just finished his third year in Software Development joined the team on the last day of May. An exciting month at Tr3Dent HQ, let’s hope June is just as good.
